“Durgapur Society for Education and Advanced Research on Community Health” (D-SEARCH) established the colleges namely :

  • Durgapur Institute of Paramedical Science (DIPS)
  • The Paramedical College - Durgapur (PMC-DGP)
  • The Institute of Paramedical and Therapeutic Sciences and Technology - Durgapur (IPTST)
  • In the year 2002-2003 with the approval of University of Burdwan, 2003-2004 West Bengal University of Technology, 2005-2006 West Bengal University of Health Sciences & 2010-2011 Vidyasagar University, Midnapore.

    It is our great pleasure to bring out the prospectus 2020 for the Institute conducting health related medical courses since academic session 2002-2003. The Institute is at present offering seven (7) Bachelor Degree courses & one (1) Master Degree course :

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Optometry
  • BBA in Hospital Management
  • Bachelor of Medical laboratory Technology
  • B.Sc (Hons) in Nutrition
  • BMLT (Vidyasagar University)
  • Our proposed courses : Master in Medical Lab Technology (MMLT).

    The Institute is receiving every sort of aid and support from the Government of West Bengal, Asansol Durgapur Development Authority, Durgapur Municipal Corporation, the affiliating Universities, eminent doctors and professional experts for its successful conduct of academics as well as to train and groom young merits with the most up to date curriculum, so that a new generation of efficient and effective physiotherapists, Optometrists professional management experts, medical lab technician & nutritionist may emerge from this institute and may dedicate themselves in serving the people of the nation and abroad with sincerity and honesty. The Institute aims at producing the best and the finest professional among their professions experts of India.
    I am confident that successful pupils of this institute will be competent enough to face and overcome the hurdles and challenges of these modern healthcare fields and will thus bear the torch of success towards a brighter day.
    Our Institute is running a highly specialised physiotherapy clinic, an eye clinic and pathology clinic with sophisticated equipments which are beneficial for our students and also for the common people of the society.
